Outdoor Riding Arena
& Round Pen
The horse riding arenas, the round pen, the managed
riding trails, and all of the exercise areas have been constructed within horse
friendly surroundings.
Both arenas were installed by Oak Mountain Construction
using the USDF "Under Foot" booklet guide. Our 20m x 60m fenced outdoor
lighted arena has local white sand for footing, while the 20m x 40m
fully enclosed indoor arena has river sand, hauled in from Alpharetta,
GA. The river sand has less dust and holds water longer than our
local white sand.
The John Lyon outdoor round pen is located at the front
of the property. The round pen area allows new riders the safety zone to learn
to ride and allows younger horses to be safely introduced to new
experiences.
The indoor horse arena provides comfort when it's hot
outside and when the weather just doesn't permit riding comfortably outdoors. The
indoor arena also has lights for night riding.
The arenas are watered and harrowed regularly to limit
dust and to refresh footing. From the lighting to the maintenance
equipment, to the devotion to excellence, Beth and Pat want you to enjoy
every trip to the farm. We built this equestrian center for you and your sporthorse to train to win.
We haven't installed bleachers; however, both arenas
afford seating areas. So, bring your hubby along, and we'll find a way
to help him enjoy the experience, too.
All exercise areas are conveniently accessed via each of
the others, yet private enough to train horses individually.
The owners, Pat and Beth Taylor, live on the farm, and
the farm offers safety and security for horse and rider. |

Most dressage trainers agree that Reiner Klimke
was one of the finest dressage riders and trainers. Klimke encouraged
horsemen to take their equine athlete out of the arena daily - hacks in
the woods, exposure to cavalleti and jumps, and romps in the field.
Double T Farm, LLC offers you and your partner "mental diversion and
varied terrain" - developing the "onesmanship" required for meeting
companionship, horsemanship, and becoming one within the art of
dressage. There are select areas for conditioning trots or gallops. The
dressage arenas and the variety of training tools available encourage the development of balance
and strength.
